Hello PEI Food security Network members – and potential members!
We are having a general membership meeting on November 25 from 9am until 1pm at the Farm Centre (420 University Avenue – beside Sobeys).
We will meet from 9-12 then have a lunch made with local and organic foods (as much as possible) supplied by Cooper Institute.
If you know a person within an organization, or a person directly involved in the food system that may be interested, please tell him/her about this meeting. Also, if you know someone who has been involved and we have somehow missed their email address on here, please forward this along.
Our agenda will include reports from our three active and busy working groups as well as the coordinating committee. There will also be a report from Food Secure Canada’s national assembly in which our network was able to participate. But our primary goal for the meeting will be to have lots of discussion about where we are with food security in PEI right now. It will be an opportunity to communicate with and learn from each other so that we are better informed and better able to act.
